Day Sixteen - Finding Joy In The Everyday

I'm going to be honest here. I am enjoying doing this series. It's refreshing to intentionally look for the good in everyday but I am starting to really miss my normal posts. I dedicated the month of October to this series though so I will finish what I started. I will just say that I am looking forward to normal service being resumed in November :)

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I let my anxiety get the better of me and as much as I wanted to I just couldn't bring myself to sit at the computer and write about the joy of the day. I wasn't feeling it and I didn't want to fake it. Growing up my Mum always told me that if I didn't have anything nice to say then I shouldn't say anything at all. So I chose to be silent. Today though, has been better and I'm feeling more like myself.

My Joyful Moments Today.

1. James being determined to go to Nursery
even though he's full of cold.

2. Someone enjoying morning cartoons...

3. Having Sparky back home is still
bringing me so much joy.
Kitty cuddles are the best.

4. Spending 2.5 hours on my own knitting,
whilst James was at nursery.

5. Seeing my baby sister for the first time since
the middle of September.
{ Yes, she's 19, but she's still my baby sister :) }

“There are random moments - tossing a salad, coming up the driveway to the house, ironing the seams flat on a quilt square, standing at the kitchen window and looking out at the delphiniums, hearing a burst of laughter from one of my children's rooms - when I feel a wavelike rush of joy. This is my true religion: arbitrary moments of of nearly painful happiness for a life I feel privileged to lead.”
