Day Six - Finding Joy In The Everyday.

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
Winston Churchill

I'm going to be honest here. I'm only six days into this Finding Joy In The Everyday series but already I have realised how easy it is the focus on the bad things about the day and forget about all the good.

The past few days have not been good for me. I haven't been feeling 100%, I have had some family problems and Sparky is still missing. I feel overwhelmed, stressed and out of sorts. I have had to force myself to find the joy throughout the last two days but I'm glad that I have because it is there. Sure, I have still moaned to Anthony about all the things that seem to be going wrong at the moment but it has also been re-freshing to stop and think about all the good things that are happening at the same time.

My Joyful Moments From Today.
1. Listening to James repeating over and over again.
"Daddy, it's nearly Halloween time.
2. A beautiful Autumn Day.
Clear blue skies, sunshine but a chill in the air.
3. Spending the afternoon wrapped in a blanket,
knitting a blanket for my sisters baby.
4. Sharing a strawberry milkshake with James,
whilst shopping.
5. This little one helping me walk the street,
searching for Sparky.
6. The smell of my "Welcome Christmas" Yankee candle
burning next to me whilst I write this.

  1. I'm sorry to hear about Sparky. I was extremely attached to my cat too. I hope he comes back! :(
