Miscellany Monday

I'm updating from my phone again because in still without a Laptop. I cannot wait for it to be fixed. I have so many photos to upload and also I have a book to finish!!

I've been looking into Clean & Healthy Eating lately. My eating habits suck due to my Emetophobia. I basically survive on Chocolate & biscuits. I know I need to eat better but I have anxiety attacks at just the thought of eating a meal. Over the past few months I've desperately been trying to eat little amounts, even if it's just a bowl of cereal. I want to do this for my own health, for James & Anthony and also for a safe & healthy pregnancy.

So back to my original point. Clean & Healthy Eating! Anthony & I sat down last night and discussed how our family eats. Don't get me wrong, our meals are not super un-healthy but they could be better. Anthony is a massive fan of burgers & sausages! Also because of James's Gluten intolerance, it's so hard to find snacks that he can have. Over the past 6 months or so he's eating more sweet stuff than I'd like.

So our eating is getting an overhaul. Good home cooked meals, (I've found an awesome Pasta dish last night that I will post here the next time I make it!) no more frozen processed foods, more fresh vegetables and fruit, brown bread instead of white. I'm lucky that James loves fruit!

With regards to my own eating I'm starting small. This morning I purchased a blender and I'm going to make home made fruit smoothies. It's a way of getting milk & fruit into me and because I can drink it instead of eating it I'm hoping it won't cause the anxiety that food does. I'm also going I make more of a conscious effort to force myself to eat, even when I'm having anxiety attacks and my Emetophobia is in full swing.

I came home this morning armed with my blender and made a Banana Smoothie with Milk & Greek Yoghurt.. It was yummy and I'm looking forward to trying out different fruits and finding tasty combinations!

  1. Was the smoothie good? I've been trying to eat greek yogurt lately, but I don't like the way it tastes just eating it out of the containter. Maybe a smoothie is the way to go!

  2. It was very good! I've switched to Natural yoghurt now though because I found the Greek yoghurt too bitter! You should definitely give smoothies a go! xx
